Empower is excited to announce that we'll be running Girls Academy Training throughout the off-season (October to December)! We will be offering programs for the following age groups: U8s U10s U12s Our goal is to provide a positive, supportive, and enjoyable environment where girls can continue to develop their football skills, build confidence, make new friends, and stay challenged throughout the off-season. Players will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure everyone gets the most out of each training session. Depending on the age group, we also plan to enter teams into a variety of competitions. Some teams will compete in weekly competitions, while others will have the opportunity to play 1–2 friendly fixtures against other girls academies. We also hope to provide opportunities for players to participate in the IFA. Come & Try Day Before finalising our Term 4 groups, we'd love to invite all girls aged 6–12 years to attend our Come & Try Day. This session is an opportunity for players and parents to experience what our Academy is all about. Players will take part in a fun training session while our coaches assess each player's current skill level. This allows us to create balanced training groups where every player can thrive. Based on registrations and ability, players will be grouped by age and/or skill level. Where appropriate, players demonstrating advanced ability may be invited to train with an older age group. Please note: This is not a trial. Everyone is welcome to join our Academy. The Come & Try Day simply helps us determine player numbers and place each player into the most suitable training group for our Term 4 Academy program. We can't wait to see as many girls as possible on the day and are looking forward to an exciting off-season of football together!
